The Beginning
I'm Ali, and LYVON exists because of my mother.
A few years ago, I started noticing small things. She'd forget where she put her keys, then forget the conversation we'd just had. Her hands and shoulders were always tense, like she was bracing for something. And underneath it all, a low hum of anxiety that never fully went away — even on good days.
I took her to see people. We heard the usual things. "That's just stress." "That's just getting older." "That's just how it is." Nobody connected the dots. Nobody looked at the whole picture — the memory, the muscle tension, the anxiety — as one thing instead of three separate complaints to manage separately.
So I started reading everything I could find myself. Research papers, clinical studies, anything that might explain what was happening to the woman who raised me.
"It wasn't her mind failing her. It was her body running without something it desperately needed."
Magnesium kept coming up — not as a footnote, but as a mineral tied directly to nervous system regulation, muscle relaxation, and cognitive function. And it kept coming up in a specific way: the cheap, common forms of magnesium barely absorb at all. The right forms — the ones actually shown to support the brain and nervous system — were almost never what was sitting on pharmacy shelves.
Once we found the right combination for her, the change wasn't overnight, but it was real. Calmer days. Fewer foggy mornings. A body that felt less like it was fighting itself.
And that's when it hit me: if this took me months of digging to find for my own mother — a problem hiding in plain sight, dismissed as "just stress" — how many other mothers, daughters, and women out there were living with the exact same thing, and had simply never been told why?
I decided I wasn't going to let that stay a secret. I built LYVON so that every woman who feels like her body and mind are quietly working against her could get the answer it took me far too long to find for my own family — starting with education, not a sales pitch. Understand what's actually happening first. The rest follows from there.
